McCrossan Boys Ranch is proud to welcome Doug Barthel to our Board of Directors. Doug is a Public Affairs Senior Specialist at Sanford Health and was recently appointed to the SD Legislature as a Representative for District 10. Previously, Doug was the former police chief in Sioux Falls and a career law enforcement officer. Doug is a graduate of the University of South Dakota in Criminal Justice. Doug and his wife Patty have lived in Sioux Falls for the past 30 years and have two grown children, Matt and Sarah. In his spare time, Doug enjoys hunting and the outdoors. Doug says, “As a former police chief, I have always admired McCrossan Boys Ranch. The Ranch has had a significant impact on this area and our state and I appreciate the work they do. I am honored to serve on the board of this highly respected organization.” Doug will be a valued asset to our McCrossan Board of Directors.
We are proud to have Jason Hubers join our Board of Directors. Jason is the President of Great Plains Brokerage which serves insurance agents and agencies in 12 states. Jason grew up in Orange City, Iowa and graduated from Dordt College. He has been married to his wife Debbie for 35 years and they have two boys – Kyle and Kory. They also have one grandchild. In his spare time, Jason enjoys spending time with family, hunting, fishing, golfing and other sports. Jason says, “I work with many schools in South Dakota and they have always spoken highly of McCrossan’s. I’m a firm believer that when kids are given a chance in life and have discipline they will become great citizens. Some kids just had a rough start and there is nothing more rewarding than giving them a new start and showing them that people care.”
The McCrossan Board of Directors is proud to welcome Dr. Michael Elliott. Mike is the Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Avera McKennan Hospital. Mike received his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota-Moorhead and his medical degree from the University of North Dakota. He is currently enrolled in the MBA Program at the University of Sioux Falls. Mike and his wife Amy live in Sioux Falls and have a 19 year old daughter who is in the dance conservatory at the State University of New York at Purchase. Mike says, “My prior work as a pediatrician gives me a connection with these young boys.” During his spare time, Mike enjoys golf, water sports and traveling to New York to watch dance performances. Mike is also the current President of the Center for Family Medicine Board. We are proud to have Dr. Michael Elliott join our Board of Directors!
