New Indoor Horse Arena Complete!

Just in time for 4-H, our new Indoor Horse Arena is ready for action!

Every day our horses make a difference at McCrossan Boys Ranch. The new 80’ x 150’ arena will give our boys a chance to participate in therapy, training, lessons, and other indoor recreational activities year-round at the Ranch.

McCrossan’s has utilized animals as a part of its program for at-risk children for over 50 years, and have experienced firsthand the impact that animals can have on the children that we work with. McCrossan’s maintains 20-30 horses carefully selected based on their age, disposition, and health.

A big thank you to Myron and Joan Van Buskirk, Component Manufacturing – Reaves Building Systems and Central States Manufacturing for helping make this project possible. We are excited about this new addition that will enhance our horse, 4-H and hitch experiences at McCrossan Boys Ranch for many years to come.

MBR FB posts are always interesting and informative. Please consider posting videos of events. Donors and sponsors would, I believe, enjoy–and share–videos of rodeos, grand openings, and other major events, especially since lots of us are unable to physically attend these activities. Thank you.

Are visitors welcome?. We have driven by the area several times and tried to find the road in but to no avail. Do you email a monthly newsletter? If so we would like to be part of this.

Yes, we do give tours of McCrossan Boys Ranch. We are actually located off Marion Road and you can take the new Marion Road off I-90. We have a monthly newsletter and e-newsletter. If you would like to get signed up call the Ranch at (605) 339-1203 and ask for someone in the Development Office.
